With a rich color pallet and plenty of exclusive materials in use, the Masterati Quattroporte’s interior is noteworthy.

Maserati, known already for luxury and performance, takes their title a step further with the Quattroporte. Back in June of 2022, HotCars writer Bassem Girgis reviewed the 2022 Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo, calling it “the most fun you can have in a full-size luxury sedan.” The newest iteration of the car is not only beautiful on the outside and fun to drive, but also pretty classy on the inside.

Although not always the case in prior years, the interior incorporates the finest hand-crafted embellishments, materials, and details in the newest models. There is no shortage of technology present in the sophisticated cabin, either. The refined design has come a long way since the original generation of the model. With a rich color pallet and plenty of exclusive materials in use, the Maserati Quattroporte’s interior is noteworthy.

Let’s take a closer look at the interior of the Maserati Quattroporte!

Maserati’s flagship sedan has upped the ante on luxury with Pieno Fiore natural leather on the seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and aluminum paddle shifters available in the Trofeo trim. With a host of combinations to choose from including shades of brown, black, gray, and a beautiful merlot red, there is definitely a choice that will suit anyone’s tastes. Maserati has these named a bit more uniquely (Nero, Nero with Rosso stitching, Nero with Grigio stitching, Rosso/Nero, and Nero with Cuoio stitching), but the colors are available for viewing in more detail on their website. An upgrade to the upholstery allows for the interior to be Zegna Pelletessuta leather in certain color combinations including Cuoio/Nero, Marrone, and Nero/Grigio instead. All the upholstery color options are very deep and rich, adding to the classy interior aesthetic.

Premium leather and genuine wood trim were present on the 2022 model but interspersed with some hard plastic areas that felt out of place and cheaply made. Additionally, in the 2022, there were a few parts (including the switchgear) that seemed to have come from Fiat or Chrysler rather than made for the Maserati. Many users found this to detract from the luxurious feel of the interior.

For the 2023 model year, Maserati has apparently addressed some of these concerns. There is an increase in the use of real wood and high gloss carbon fiber twill trim throughout the cabin. The option to upgrade to Piano Black wood has also historically been available as an alternative, as has the option to install the Interior Carbon Fiber package, which adds carbon fiber door sills and paddle shifters to the car. Stainless steel Sport pedals are also available as an additional upgrade for the car.

Maserati has indicated that the Quattroporte 2023 model year GT trim will also include an internal styling that takes many of its cues from the Maserati Grecale in shape and set-up. The interior includes a dual-screen infotainment system with manual controls in the center. Centered on the dash and flanked by narrow climate vents is Maserati’s easily-recognizable and well-known clock.

The Quattroporte interior also boasts quite a few features that add to the premium comfort and include bolstered technology amenities as well. As optional upgrades, drivers can add (in addition to the aforementioned Carbon Fiber Interior Package) a Bowers & Wilkins premium surround sound system, Alacantra headliner and pillars, Inox Sport pedals, and more.

Many upgrades are also available packaged for ease of purchase. For $600, in the “Comfort & Convenience Executive Package,” you can add soft close doors and power-adjustable foot pedals. For $1,000 a purchaser can add the “Comfort & Convenience Package” with heated rear seats, soft close doors, and power-adjustable foot pedals. Finally, for $5,500, you can opt into the “Executive Package” which includes executive rear seats (ventilated and power-adjustable) and four-zone automatic climate control.

In addition to all the potential upgrades, the Quattroporte comes standard with an illuminated glove box, proximity key for doors, push-button start, and fade-to-off interior lightning. The front automatic air conditioning is voice activated and the genuine wood console insert has a refrigerated/cooled box located within.

The car has plentiful storage as well, with pockets and bins in strategic locations all throughout the cabin. It also has remote services, allowing for over-the-air updates, diagnostics, and status monitoring through the 10.1” high-definition touch screen. The car links to a smartwatch, smartphone, Amazon Alexa, or Google Assistant via the Maserati Connect app.

Furthermore, the car utilizes auto-adaptive software to actually learn your driving style. It recognizes shift patterns. Buttons near the gear lever also allow you to select a mode to suit your driving and performance preferences from auto, manual, increase control and efficiency, and sport. The Quattroporte Trofeo trim has one more mode - the Corsa mode, which increases acceleration as well.

The 2023 model year promises to address some of the details and issues faced in past models as well as take the technology to the next level. The classy interior with the owner’s choice of deep, rich color pallet, luxury touches throughout the interior, and upscale add-ons available for the Maserati Quattroporte make it worth taking a look at.
